Weight Lifting
Each weightlifting program will be developed based on your current fitness level and strength goals. The reason we lift weights is to get stronger and the way to get stronger is by systematically lifting heavier weights.

Yoga/Pilates

Calculating your training heart rate based on your age and resting pulse to develop a progressive training schedule designed to achieve cardiovascular goals. No matter if your goals are heart health or running your first 5K race. Learn to make your workout measureable.
My Friends
I have been involved in fitness, starting when I was 13 years old. As a skinny, 120 pound, pot bellied freshman, I started working out with my older brother and his friends on the football team. I found I had knack for strength and by graduation, I bulked up to 135 pounds and competed in my first bench press contest. with a bench press of 300 pounds, at 17 years old, I won the Delaware State Bench Press Championship and set a new state record. I went on to win many powerlifing contests adding a 400 pound squat and a 440 pound deadlift to compliment a 335 pound bench press all at a body weight of 148 pounds.
I earned a B.S. in Elementary Education with a Special Ed minor from York College of Pennsylvania. I hold fitness certifications from the National Acadamy of Sports Medicine, National Sports Performance Institute, American Council on Exercise, Power House Pilates, Reebok Cycling, Body Training Systems, USATF Track and Field, Spencer Institute Yoga, Stress Management Coach, Life Coach, Pilates and Holistic Fitness Practitioner.
I have been a personal trainer for over 30 years and I live the life I teach my clients. Now retired from power lifting, I regularly compete in long-distance running and cycling events.

Dave
I am an avid outdoorsman and father of 2 athletic children. I have been living with Parkinson's for the past 22 years, but for the sake of me and my family I realized I could not crawl into a hole. Staying active is just as important as taking my medications. Exercise keeps my body strong and mobile, my mind clear and my spirit happy. Jeff doesn't let me use Parkinson's as an excuse for not reaching my goals. On the days that things get me down, those goals are what keep me going. On my first day with Jeff, we set a goal to bench 135 pounds. Today I met my goal!

Maaria
I am a mother of three children with a very busy life running them around to all of their activities. Several years ago I knew I needed to start exercising and doing something good for myself. I joined a local gym and started training with Jeff. Having never been encouraged as a child to play sports or exercise I was reluctant to join a gym let a lone hire a trainer. I quickly became comfortable with Jeff's easy demeanor and encouraging approach to my potential abilities. Within a short time I realized I loved working out as I became stronger and more fit. Working out has become a way of life for me and I routinely lift weights, run and cycle on the local bike trail.

Phil
I am a young 79 years old retired Navy Captain and Aviator. I currently run a fly fishing school on the Gunpowder River. I began to realize staying in shape was crucial for me to safely instruct my students. Wading and walking the rivers in strong current requires strength, stamina and balance. Several years ago I met Jeff at a local gym and hired him as my trainer. Even though he keeps my age in mind he never cuts me any slack believing I can always do more than I think I can. He has been a great mentor and friend helping me regain my stamina and getting my weight under control. With his help and guidance I have lost nearly 40 pounds and greatly improved my strength and balance.

Demi
So losing weight and getting fit has been on my goals list since 2017. I'd say things like "My goal this year is to lose 5 pounds...only 15 more to go" (since my progress had gone in the wrong direction). I run a publishing house editing and designing books. Many days I spend 8-10 hours in front of the computer. Exercise was not on my fun list but neither was gaining 15 pounds and struggling to carry to carry a case of water or bag of cat food into the house. Jeff has helped get me excited about working out-and encouraged me to try new things. He really believes in his clients. In 6 weeks not only am I down the dreaded (first) 5 pounds I feel stronger and can carry cases of water and BIG bags of cat food into the house with ease! I have even started enjoying the exercise and that's what finally helped me start believing in myself.

Linda
I am the mother of two grown, talented athletes and a very competitive husband. I started working out with Jeff to learn how to exercise and hopefully enjoy it. Supported by my family and Jeff I quickly found I love working out. I then set a performance goal to keep up with my family on the slopes of the may ski trips we do every year. I am skiing the best of my life and and even join the boys on the double diamond slopes.

Chris and Lori Rene
We are Chris and Lori Rene and have been married 13 years. We have 5 adult children 2 dogs and a cat and love to travel. We started working out with Jeff again in the fall of 2020 after taking a several year break from exercising. We were unhappy with how sedentary we had become during the pandemic lockdown. Our goals are to lose some weight but mostly to gain strength and improve our balance and flexibility as we age. Having the convenience of training at home and working out around our busy schedules has been a real motivator. In a few short months we have already noticed some weight change and muscle tone which is encouraging. We now feel more confident in our daily routines and physical abilities.

I work in as a R.N. in a very busy hospital caring for many patients as well as helping people in my personal life. I soon realized I was neglecting myself, gaining weight and putting my own health at risk. I finally decided it was time to focus on myself. Now in my 60's I routinely workout with Jeff, have lost 30 pounds and I am stronger both mentally and physically. Lifting weights, running and biking is now a way of life for me.


Julia
I am a passionate animal lover, German Shepherd Rescue volunteer and hobby photographer. As a practice leader at a global management consulting firm, my job is very hectic with little down time. I noticed significant weight gain over the past couple of years, affecting me both physically and mentally. The decision to start exercising was to attain physical strength and mental balance. My general goal is to get down to a healthy weight and reduce my anxiety by obtaining a healthier perspective of my abilities. My fitness goal is to power walk and romp around with my dogs with out stopping to catch my breath.

I have been a hairstylist for 46 years spending many hours a day on my feet. I have always enjoyed exercising, taking Yoga classes and walking outside. Now in my 60's I knew if I wanted to continue working as a hairstylist I needed to add more to my workout routine. I hired Jeff as my trainer 3 years ago and it has made a huge difference in my abilities. I now lift weights and road bike several days a week. My biggest accomplishment is after a 26 year break I have competed in several 5K races. Undoubtedly, I am in the best shape of my life.
I am the mother of 3 athletic girls and staying fit has always been a priority in our lives. As a family we often attend fitness classes together enjoying Yoga and biking. I like taking classes but noticed many women were in the gym lifting weights and had amazing muscles. I started lifting weights with Jeff and quickly saw results in my arms and legs. I am now much stronger, have more self confidence and love how my arms look.
